Akbar Khan's Taj is back and wow! After winning accolades and critical acclaim at the Damascus Film Fest where the Director's Cut of Taj Mahal – an Eternal Love story was showcased at the opening ceremony of the 'Special Indian Night', Akbar Khan's magnum opus is all set to make waves at the IFFI – India and the Cairo International Fest this month.

Katrina Kaif: Crystal clear about her career!

Katrina Kaif was shooting for Subhash Ghai's Yuvvraaj at the worldfamous Swavroski showroom in Austria recently. Known for its landmarkjewelry and showpieces, unit members began teasing Katrina sayingthat the rare crystal pieces would catch her attention more and theshooting work less. "What piece of jewelry should I buy for myself?


What piece would best adorn my home?" were the question, the unitmembers said, surely troubled Katrina. But surprise, surprise! KatrinaWas only focused on her work. Her attention was completely on theScene that was being shot. "Not even once did Katrina's attention getdrifted towards the showpieces and the jewelry. She was completelyimmersed in her work. She was 'crystal' clear about her career. Anybody in her place would have easily given into the temptation of walking around the beautifully decorated storeand shopped like a maniac. But not Katrina."

The unit members decided to honour Katrina's dedication towards herwork. "We bought a gift from Swavroski for Katrina and presented it toher after the shooting got over. She was touched by our gesture," aunit member revealed smiling.

Just like how media plays a major role in our day-to-day life, in the same way it plays an important role in our film.The hero of our film, named “Raja” out of frustration leaves his family and comes to Mumbai in search of a job as well as Shekhar his friend.In his village, his father is a farmer by profession, who loves him a lot. A girl named ‘Neha’ is also madly in love with him.Raja finds his friend in Mumbai Shekhar doing the job of a Watchman. Shekhar offers the same job to Raja but Raja refuses this offer because he has big dreams and wants to fulfill them.He meets a girl in Mumbai named Sonia, who is the heroine of our film. Sonia is working for a man named “Baba Bahadur” who deals in drugs. Sonia has a brother who is dumb.When Raja and Sonia meet for first time, Raja repeatedly at various times and places. Their relationship grows gradually.Raja soon realies that North Indians are not liked by the Mumbai Kars, where as Raja has the feeling of equality and believes that all should live with love.On the other hand, there is a north Indian leader named ‘Shrivastav’. Shrivastav is a role model for all the North-Indians. But in reality he is like any other politician. He uses people for his own selfish needs.There are other politicians as well like chief-minister, vice chief minister, home minister etc. The use common man for their selfish motives.A city based Mafia and drug dealer named Rajan Patil is also working under these great politicians.Media wants to reveal all this corruption to public through television and news papers.As Sonia is working for Bahdur she has an enemity of Rajan Patil.Sonia beats the men of Rajan Patil in an open market.In order to take a revenge. Rajan Patil sends his brother to teach Sonia a lesson.Raja arrives to rescue Sonia and unfortunately he kills Rajan Patil’s brother.Rajan Patil gives the contract of killing Sonia and Raja to an inspector, Rajesh Sharma. Instead of doing so, he is killed by Raja.Due to all this, Mafia and police become rivals of Raja & Sonia.In order to save Raja from the policemen, Sonia brings Raja to her aunt’s place. In that house itself, news flashes on TV that police is in search of Raja & Sonia.In this process. Raja & Sonia go throught many painful and dreadful circumstances. Baba Bahadur double crosses them. But, Shrivastav helps them. London, October 4, 2008: Fox STAR Studios, a pan-Asian joint venture between Twentieth Century Fox and STAR, today announced its first major move in Indian cinema - a multiple-film deal with producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah. One of the most consistent and successful producers and directors in Hindi cinema, Shah's hits include "Namastey London" and "Singh is Kinng"; the latter film, released in August, broke records by taking the biggest opening ever for a Hindi film (Opening weekend GBO $16.1M), and has become one of the top-grossing Bollywood films of all time.

The Fox STAR Studios India deal includes the development and production of a visual effects-driven fantasy action movie and a contemporary romantic comedy as well as a first look deal on Shah's future projects. The VFX event film will be supported by a team of top visual effects directors from Hollywood and supervised by Fox's multiple award-winning in-house visual effects team.

DRONA started for me, as an attempt to define and understand legacy. As I became a parent, my world expanded to include newer emotions, fresher feelings. Watching my sons, interacting with them, even opened up newer bonds with my father. I knew then, that I had to tell a tale dealing with legacy, a responsibility that is passed on from generations, and is taken on with pride and never questioned. On 11th of August at midnight, Abhishek came to the hospital to see my new born, Ranveer. I discussed my idea with him and he got on board immediately. The film was to be a magical adventure, a timeless tale of good against evil, of a man rising to fulfill his destiny and be true to what he was born to be.... abhishek’s enthusiasm and conviction gave me the impetus to write a full fledged script, and slowly Drona came to life. After completing the story, I worked jointly with rohini and jaydeep on the screenplay to arrivie at the desired structure and texture that I wanted for my fantasy adventure , we arrived in the world of Drona, a world where amar chitra katha meets frank miller. We were slowly creating our very own legend. Abhishek had inspired Drona, but now, Drona was coming alive in Abhishek. His inputs were invaluable in fleshing out this grim but innocent hero, his stance, his gait, heavy with the burden he was bearing, speaking very little, with the cynical smile of someone who has grown up in a small span of time. Abhishek and I worked backwards on the charachter, even to the details of the weight of the characteristic “Drona punch”.

Misuse of journalism & Misrepresentation of facts to gain TRP's and Circulation

I would like to mention that the news in Mid Day and Zee Marathi was manipulated to make it crispy on
saturday ,sept.27th ,2008 about Hema Malini's travel by train.

I was physically traveling with her and managing Hema Ji's visit ,the event was co ordinated by page3entertainment
and was for savarkar vichar manch,while traveling back from pandarpur Hemaji preferred not to travel by road
rather by train since there is no air travel services available,so client was requested to arrange for train travel which he
surely did ,since it was a last minute decision ,so tickets were practically and physically with the client
and when we boarded the train ,he was in the other compartment and he forgot to handover the tickets to us
or you can say we didnt take a note of collecting the tickets, as soon as train started moving we realised
and called him to co ordinate the tickets to be faxed thru the station master to TTE and same was done in
a matter of 20 mins of train travel start and co ordinated and necessary penalty was paid too,we have the receipt for the same
with date and time.

when we boarded the train one young man wanted to be clicked with hema ji
we refused and he started using his handycam ,we didnt realise that it was switched on , the moment
we realised it was , we confronted him and stopped him to do so and even scolded him for that.
this guy has used same footage in Zee Marathi news and the news broadcast is an entire misrepresentation
of what has happened ,we would like that a strong action be taken against him for this
misuse of journalism,we have tickets and their time of purchase and same can be substantiated
the idea is not to prove anything but to stop the misuse and distortion of facts around a celebrity
just to gain mileage or trps,we are considering suing the respective media vehicles.
