With the arrival of many new T.V channels and F.M channels, the requirements for the trained man power has increased. Keeping this in mind NRAI School of Mass Communication, based at Oshiwara, Andheri (W) is offering an intensive Mass- Media Training for 15 days. The training covers T.V news reading, T.V anchoring and Radio Jockeying. The basic module covers voice modulation, voice clarity, pronounciation, diction , vocal exercise, scripting, camera facing etc. The training has been divided into the theoretical and practical session where top media personalities come to teach thoroughly. Earlier batches have seen housewives, college students, working people extra. A vedio demo taped and a certificate is provided to at the end of the training . Placement assistance may be provided to the successful candidate at the end of the training .

Q) Please tell us about this liberalization of the airwaves ?R) In the coming years, the liberalization of the airwaves will lead to proliferation of satellite television channels increasing both communications infrastructure and demand for software. Despite the multiplicity of satellite t.v and radio channels , there still remains a great unsatisfied requirements for innovation non fiction programming and documentaries addressing issue of social concern and education. Our NRAI School of Mass Communication which is based at Oshiwara, Andheri (W) attempts to create a generation of film makers and media professionals who are inspired to address this need.

Q) What do you teach to the students at this Institute?R) NRAI School of Mass Communication is an audio visual production house and a mass media organization. We have conducted more than 200 workshops and short term courses on T.V news reading, Radio Jockeying and Radio production . Our students can participate in various T.V Programmes. In this way they not only participate in these programmes but also learn various styles of anchoring and other aspects of T.V programmes making.

Q) Please give me the details of your Institute?A) Here you will find:Library- Books related with media.Studio- State of the art studio with latest equipments.Seminars- The institute conducts seminars with prestigious government and non- government agencies for the benefits for students. Discussions are organized regularly on the contemporary burning issues to keep the thing process alive. These Seminars and Workshops are often presided over by eminent professionals, academicians and literatures. The institute provides and demonstrates live interaction for its students with the eminent professionals.

Q) How are students getting benefited from your course?A) The students are encouraged to express their views in various programmes. The medium of instruction is both Hindi and English. The students are benefited to see the world through the lens and express their views and opinions through the mighty power of sessions. The academic session starts every Saturday.

Q) How far your dream of a State of the art institute is fulfilled?A) My dream of a state of the art institute comes real as I wish to share my decade long experience in T.V media with the future potential media aspirants. To develop the skills of our students, I have introduced a wall magazine, in-house newspaper and a theatre society. We will be starting up with our own T.V production house very soon.

Sanjeev Mehta, Founder & Director of SMEDA [Sanjeev Mehta's Elegant Dance Academy], has been professionally involved as a Dance & Fashion Choreographer and a Fitness Instructor, since past eleven years.


He has been training all age groups, belonging to a bevy of people from all societies. He is specialized in training Western, Folk & Filmy Dance Styles. His Training Workshops are held every three months with a special course structure from Basic to Advance levels.

This was a corporate & politician bash with Filmdom thrown in good measure. at a suburban hotel J W MARIOTT. The guest of honor were ex union minister Sanjay Singh who was also the former Raja of Amethi along with his wife Amita Singh and the host were young politico J. K. Pathak & Shrikant Bhasi of the Bounge Group. Sanjay Nirupam is now seen everywere in the party circle after Big Boss. The highlight of the evening was the special Belly Dance performance by renowned Ukraine Dancers. This party was thrown to mark the completion of third year of this corporate company in India . The guest who attended this beautiful evening were Manoj Tiwari, Shatrughan Sinha Santosh Singh, Deepak S Ruia, Mink & Punnu, DJ Sheizwood & Bobby Darling, Liza Malik, Arshi, Uday Kant, Rohit Verma, & Priyanka Shah. Neelam Mehra "The Bindaas Chori"

On Monday 22nd sept on the set of Swastik picture's Saas vs. Bahu, we had a firework for performances from the saas's side.
Neelam Mehra gave a blast of a performance. Her performance was so spicy that the judges acknowledge her as "MIRCHI" through out their conversation. Aruna was very impressed by her expression and her presentation. She remembers Neelam as a BINDAAS girl and acknowledges the fact that even though Neelam was never a very good dancer, today what she is doing after so many years is simply amazing. Neelam Mehra is in tears when she hears so many praises about her. The whole Saas clan is proud of her and comes on stage to cheer her. Aruna taunts the bahus that's their Saas' are performing better than them! The element of fun enters the show when karan points out if some day this stage breaks Neelam would be the person responsible! After seeing the performances from the saasuma side karan teasingly says "chalo ladki na sahi, sassu ma hi sahi" on which Neelam tries to pull his leg by saying "mujhe laga ladki na sahi to ladka sahi!" Next on the line for the super duper rocking performance was Kishori. After seeing kishori perform, Aruna wonders were does all the energy in Saas come from. She did some amazing movement with the police had which impressed longi. To all this how can Karan be quite he too praises her energy in performance by saying she should be a Bahu since she performed better than all the bahus here. Kishori dedicates all her performances to Shridevi. She tells about, how she used to watch the picturisation of all the songs and learnt a lot from Shridevi's dancing. She is a huge fan of Shridevi. When all bahus were quite and silent seeing the fire show given by their Saas, Neelam sings the song "'chup chup baithe ho..." for them!

Animation film "Cheenti Cheenti Bang Bang"

Elecom Fiesta Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. presentation, animation feature film "Cheenti Cheenti Bang Bang" (35mm/colour/80 mnts) is scheduled for release all over on October 10.

The film has been directed by R.D.Mallik with Shantanu Pal as animation director. The film features voices of Ashish Vidyarthi, Mahesh Manjrekar, Asrani, Anjan Srivastva and others.

Music for "Cheenti Cheenti Bang Bang" has been composed by Jeet and songs have been written by Nida Fazli. Singers include Shaan, Shreya Ghoshal, Kunal Ganjawala, Sudesh Bhosle and Ustad Rashid Khan.

The story revolves around two kingdoms of Ants – red and black: Near the pond, on the west side of a dilapidated bungalow, lie two kingdoms of the red and the black ants, who are constantly at loggerheads. It erupts into a major showdown when Laal Budda (old ant) is accused of harassing Kalibua, a hand maiden of Kaali Rani. She complains to Kaali Rani, who insists that Kaala Raja behead Laal Budda!

Angered by the audacity of the Kaala Raja, Laal Raja wages an attack on his kingdom. To make things worse, Lohit the Laal Prince falls in love with Krishna the Kaala Princess and elopes with her.

The supporters of the Kaala Raja are Mighty Girgit…and the Frog…But some have vested interests. The Laal Raja also has his supporters, including the magical Beyallis Karma.

It's a war zone out there!

PREMIERE FOR HARI PUTTAR

Mirchi Movies brings India's first exclusive premiere for KIDS & their Parents, hosted with Filmfare at Cinemax – Andheri on Wednesday, September 24th. From the producers of Being Cyrus now comes the Masti movie of 2008, Hari Puttar -- A Comedy of Terrors. This flick is full of high energy, music, and emotional moments. The film also has two animated characters who are the 'sutradaars' - Hari Puttar and Funtoon who are already making waves amongst kids.

Q) How did you become an actress?
A) I wanted to become an actress from a very young age। I started learning all languages. I thought it would give me some base. A close friend pushed me to acting.I later learnt everything from my second husband, who was in the hospitality industry. I met a lot of people from Mumbai. Ajay Sinha offered me a role in Astiva Ek Prem Kahani. So I came to Industry.
Q) How was the first experience facing the camera?
A) I was really nervous as I had to shoot in a salwar Kameez,tikka,and heavy jewellery. I gave it my best shot. Alok Nath was very happy and complimented me. That gave me confidence.
Q) Are you popular in Germany?
A) No,I have done theatre and a kid's show in Berlin. I am popular among Indians in Germany but not with Germans.
Q) How is it to live in India?Like the food?
A) I love India.I like the food here,but don't like soda added in it. I don't have time to cook so we eat on the sets or outside.
Q) Which films are you doing now?
A) Pranali, this film is completed and many films are going to come.
Q) What are your future plans?
A) I am writing a script. It's a triangular love thriller.I hopefully will be able to direct it my fiance someday.
Q) How do you find India?
A) I fell in love with India the first time I came here.
Q) How can you manage to speak in Hindi?
A) I'm studying Hindi from three books at the moment-one is for grammer, the second for sentences, the third for vocabulary.I leave the TV on, and listen to the dialogues. If I hear a word I don't know, I look it up or call one of my friends.
